You’ll rethink what you’re capable of, & be encouraged & equipped to go after your dreams…in less than 100 pages.

who is this book for?

This book is for you if…

  • You are tired of toxic positivity teaching positive thinking as the be-all and end-all solution to everything
  • You feel like you’re spinning your wheels and want to quit whatever you’re in the middle of pursuing because you’re tired of not seeing results
  • You feel like things are possible for other people but impossible for you
  • You feel inadequate, like you are not enough, don’t have enough (money, talent, patience…), or just don’t have what it takes to fulfill your dreams
  • You know in the back of your head the thing that will get you to your next level, but you haven’t had the courage to get out of your comfort zone or take that leap of faith yet
  • You know what you need to do next but are too afraid of failure to pursue it
  • You think you’re too late, too old, too young, too poor, too anything to accomplish your goals
  • You don’t have the confidence to go after the life you want
  • You are tired of feeling the guilt of living beneath your potential
  • You don’t want to live with regret or wonder what if

I’ve felt alllll of that 😩

That’s how this book came to be.

I was closer to 30 than 20…

Ya know…approaching that age where society will convince you it’s all about to go downhill and your best years are behind you. Unfortunately, the stagnation of my life was starting to convince me that that was true.

I started to rethink all my life decisions, look with guilt at the things I still hadn’t accomplished, look with envy at the things other people had accomplished, and evaluate where my life was headed.

I felt stuck in every way. And I didn’t like it.

I started to ask myself questions like…

  • If not now, when?
  • If I continue on the same path I’m on now, what will my existence be like in the future?
  • What might my life look like if I challenged my limits, tried new things, and made different choices?

For my first trick…I decided I would explore life beyond the borders I had always lived in…literally and figuratively. After a tough breakup and a lifetime of sitting on the sidelines watching other people travel internationally, I finally left the country for the first time.

As someone who grew up surrounded by people with far more financial means than me, traveling internationally was a pipe dream–it was something for them and not for me.

But when I finally managed to get my very first passport stamp (shoutout to Iceland!), that experience opened up my world literally in a way that I never imagined possible, and caused me to also question if I could open my world mentally in a way that I never imagined possible.

I started to consider what other limits I had placed on myself and reinforced all my life, that I could shatter and prove to not be real or true.

That’s when I decided to tackle the impossible: learning how to swim.

I couldn’t swim a lap-no, not a single stroke-without sinking to the bottom. Literally.

My movement in the water was exceedingly laborious. I was alarmingly weak. I had the buoyancy of an anchor.

It was painful (or perhaps to some, entertaining) to witness. I was pathetic. 110% inept. And it had been that way since I was a child.

All attempts (of which there were many) at learning to swim had failed spectacularly up to this point.

It was impossible. Until one day I decided it was no longer going to be.

Fast forward to now, and I have…

  • completed 3 triathlons
  • swam a mile in the Hudson River (twice)
  • earned 4 scuba diving certifications
  • used said certifications to go scuba diving dozens of times in 6 different countries
  • been up close and personal in the ocean with whale sharks, nurse sharks, and manta rays

Spoiler alert: I did, in fact, learn how to swim.

I’ve fallen in love with the thing I once thought impossible, and in doing so, it opened up a whole new world (Cue Aladdin 🎵) of other remarkable things for me to fall in love with.

When I first got in the ocean and came face to face with this beautiful creature, my eyes filled with tears in my mask underwater…not just because of marvelling at the breathtaking natural wonder in front of me…but from knowing that that moment wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t decided to tackle my impossible, not quit, and make it possible.

I made my impossible, possible, and you can too.

Finally learning how to swim as an adult transformed my life for the better in so many unimaginable ways that had a ripple effect into every part of my life.

As part of the process of overcoming this personal challenge, I discovered 15 universally applicable principles that can be applied to all of life’s challenges.

And I wanted to record them as a handbook to refer back to whenever I’m facing a new challenge that I can’t see a way through.

It’s a timeless playbook for life.

You’ll learn things like:

  • the paradox of effort
  • the power of consistency
  • how to increase your capacity
  • the surprising path to real growth
  • where to keep your focus to get to where you want to go

This is not another book about positive thinking.

I’m not going to tell you in this book you have to think positive to overcome the obstacles in your path.

Luckily for you, the idea that something won’t work unless you think positively about it is a myth. Whatever your seemingly impossible challenge is, you’re not going to feel like you can do it.

And that’s okay.

The principles in this book are created to help you take action anyway, not to change your attitude to give you permission to move forward because you now feel good.

These principles don’t require you to believe it before you see it.

This is not another traditional self help book.

No fluff, repetitive filler, or regurgitated cliches here. This isn’t packed with endless studies. And there’s not a single stuffy statistic in sight.

This is a real person’s hard-earned life lessons from the personal triumph of overcoming a seemingly impossible personal challenge.

These are timeless and universal principles.

And you can use them to transform your life and overcome whatever seemingly impossible challenge you are afraid to say yes to, or don’t think you’re strong enough or good enough to push through.

I used these principles to form the groundwork for the mindset that would later allow me to:

  • terminate my apartment lease, sell my car and belongings to go fully nomadic
  • confidently walk away from 9-5 corporate life
  • book a one way ticket to Thailand
  • go all in on making money online
  • travel the world solo

hey there!

I’m destiny

It seems small, but learning how to swim changed the way I see myself and I want to give other people the thrill of smashing their limiting beliefs, the gift of forming a new identity, and the hope that the seemingly impossible is, in fact, possible.

That’s why I wrote this book.

mm hmm, sounds nice, but…

what are people saying about this book?

in summary

Amazon’s AI summed it up best…

There is something you have been wanting to do that you think is impossible.

You see other people do it with ease, but it has been a struggle for you, and you have convinced yourself that you will never be able to do it. But if you do, it would change your life. It would change the way you see yourself, and open up possibilities and opportunities you can’t even imagine right now.

There is a voice in your head, saying lying to you…

  • “It’s too late”
  • “It’s impossible”
  • “Other people can do it, but I can’t”
  • “I’m trying but I’m not getting anywhere.”
  • “I don’t have enough time, money, energy, talent, [FILL IN THE BLANK]”

But with the principles in this book, you will…

  • push through the moments where you want to quit
  • prime yourself for success in every endeavor
  • tap into the power lying dormant within you
  • unlock a new level of your life
  • believe in yourself again

Let’s face it-

You’re busy.

And you’re up to your eyeballs in self help books.

You don’t have time for another drawn out self help book saying the same exact things over and over because some author was trying to make their word count mandated by their publisher.

You don’t have patience to sit through hundreds of dry pages written (or ghostwritten) by a doctor, professor, lawyer, or someone else parading their licenses and certificates to demonstrate credibility and distract you from their lack of authenticity.

This book is authentic, simple but powerful, and to the point. It’s less than 100 pages, and the audio is less than 100 minutes, because self help you can actually complete, is self help you can actually use. And it’s only when we use what we learn that we create change in our lives.

It’s never too late to take your life to the next level, and all it takes is for you to get past the obstacle that is in front of you right now. I can help with that.

It may seem impossible, but impossible is an illusion, and there is always a way to the other side. Just because something was a truth of your past doesn’t mean it has to keep you from your future.

If you ever felt like something was possible for everyone else, but impossible for you…

That ends now.

Got questions?

Yes. This book “The Illusion Of Impossible” was first published under the title “Challenge Accepted.” This is the same as that book, but rebranded with a new & improved title & cover.

It’s less than 100 pages, so you can read this book in one sitting in a few hours if you wanted to. The audio is less than 100 minutes, so you could listen to it in an hour and a half…or, in one good spring cleaning sesh.

sigh…

I hate endings.

You’ve reached the end of this page, my friend. But while this is the end of this page, this could be the beginning of the rest of your life–too much?

Ok, well, I’ve run out of things to say. The only thing left to do is grab your copy of this book.
